OUTDOOR LIVING BASICSLooking to add value to your home? How about more space to entertain and relax with friends? Or perhaps an extra kitchen? Well, consider the outdoors and the wide range of propane products available to create an outdoor living area right in your backyard. And, with all the benefits of propane, it's never been easier to fit this growing trend into your lifestyle. Remember, outdoor living is more than just a propane grill. You can start by adding furniture and propane appliances to an existing patio, garden, or deck. And, with the proper placement of patio heaters, hearths, and fire pits, you can continue to use your outdoor space throughout the fall and winter as the temperature drops. Propane also allows you to create outdoor kitchens, pools, and spas! A March 2008 CARAVAN® Omnibus survey conducted of 756 homeowners concluded: When it comes to adding to the quality of living in homeowner’s outdoor rooms, a variety of propane-fueled products are seen as being able to have a significant effect, as detailed in the table below. Mosquito eliminators or bug zappers top the list, followed by outdoor lighting and fire pits. Women are generally more likely than men to say that these types of products would have ‘a great deal’ or ‘some’ effect when it comes to adding to the quality of living of an outdoor room.
